Midlothian, Texas
On December 3, 2017 the Lord took Sherry home to breathe and walk freely without pain or limitation. Sherry was born on February 6, 1947 in Dallas and grew up in Colleyville where she met and married Ronald Rosenbaum on March 4, 1967. They moved to Jacksonville, AR where he was stationed in the Air Force. After they were discharged from the Air Force, they moved back to Texas. Sherry first went to nursing school and became an LVN. She was a wonderful nurse and wanted to further her education and went back to school to become a RN while also receiving the Florence Nightingale award. She was tough enough to work in prisons and state mental institutions but none of that compared to how tough she was with the horses. Her family lost count of the number of broken bones she received from horses kicking her in the ribs to throwing her out of the saddle at the young age of 60. Sherry was preceded in death by her mother and father, Woody and Jacquelyn Sims and sister, Vickie Corter. She is survived by Ronald Rosenbaum, daughter and son-in-law Gina and Brent Hudson; daughter, Karon Parrott; brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Amy Sims; granddaughter, Courtney Hudson; grandsons, Patrick Hudson, Cody Parrott, Matthew Parrott, Ryan Reynal and wife Keely and great-granddaughter, Tinsley Reynal. Sherry's family would like to thank all of her friends for the prayers, love and support.
