Ray White Jr.

Ray White, Jr. also known as Sonny, PaPaw and Dad, entered into heaven on November 22, 2015 at the age of 88. Ray was born in Venus, Texas on May 30, 1927 to Clara Louise Patterson White and Ray White. He married Betty Ann Vandiver in August 1952 and they had three children. Ray retired from Bell Helicopter after a 42 year career. While employed at Bell Helicopter he was a fabricator inspector. The employees of Bell elected him as their UAW Local 218 President for three years. He proudly served his Union as a Union representative for 20+ years. Ray, at one time, was the Worshipful Master in the Venus Masonic Lodge. Ask anyone and they will tell you he loved to fish! He also loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, but don't be fooled, he loved to watch westerns also. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Clara and Ray White and his sister, Patsy Dees. He is survived by his wife, Betty White, children, Robert White, Donald White and Jan White Harris and siblings, Glenn White, Nancy White Allen and Judy White Baird. Ray will truly be missed by all that knew him. In lieu of flowers please consider donation to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
