Norma Sue Jenkins

On Thursday, July 9th 2020, Norma Sue Killingsworth Jenkins, loving wife and mother of two children, passed away at the age of 83. Norma Sue was born on November 2nd, 1936 in Checotah, Oklahoma to Davis and Minnie Killingsworth. She married John C. Jenkins, Jr. on June 27th, 1964 and together they raised two sons, Richard Raymond and Karl Eric. Norma Sue had a lifelong passion for teaching children. She was an elementary school teacher for several years in Kansas and transitioned to teaching Sunday School after her sons were born. Norma Sue was always an active member of the local Baptist church, most recently at First Baptist Church of Midlothian. She was known for her kind and generous spirit as well as for her creative nature while teaching. She enjoyed creating art and could often be found working on a craft project for her next Sunday School class. Norma Sue was preceded in death by her husband, John, and son, Richard. She is survived by her son, Karl, and several nieces and nephews.
