John William Mann, Jr.

–

Fort Worth, Texas

John William Mann, Jr., a thoughtful and supportive soul, took his heavenly journey on May 7, 2025. Born on August 13, 1959, in Lynwood, California, John spent his life exemplifying a loving and compassionate heart to all who had the fortune of knowing him. His life’s journey led him to different corners of the world, from the Californian cities of Canyon Country, Van Nuys, Canoga Park, to his cherished home in Fort Worth, Texas, where he resided for 32 fulfilling years.

John was a dedicated truck driver for JB Hunt for many years until his well-earned retirement in 2019. Being an Eagle Scout, John embodied the values of integrity, commitment, and service. His love for trains and eagles was not just a hobby, but a testament to his fascination with the journey and the spirit of freedom. Just as trains move forward steadily on their track, John moved through life with a steadfast spirit, overcoming challenges with grace. Like the eagles he collected, he soared above life's trials, always offering a supportive wing to those in need. In the words of Proverbs 17:17, "A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity." John was indeed that friend and brother to many.

John’s life was a living testament to one of his favorite quotes, "Love and respect are the cornerstones of life." He was a devoted husband to his wife, Lori Mann, whom he married on June 26, 1982, and a protective brother to his sister, Debby Mann. He was also a beloved uncle to Amber-May Holland. John's parents, John Mann Sr. and Martha Mann, precede him in his heavenly journey.

John's life was a melody of love, respect, and service. As we celebrate his life, we invite you to share your memories of John and upload photos to the memorial page. His story may have ended, but his spirit lives on in the hearts of those who loved him.
