Midlothian, Texas
Jerry Hall was born September 4, 1948 to James and Sue Hall. Jerry's father, James was also a pastor and sparked Jerry's love for Jesus. As Jerry grew up, he was inspired by the love Jesus had for all and he knew his calling was to share that same love for others and his deep seeded desire to serve God's Kingdom in every possible way. Jerry met the love of his life, Annette, in Cisco, TX, his junior year of high school, after his father became the Pastor of East Cisco Church. They knew each other for 2 years before getting married on June 22, 1968 and starting their legacy as a family. The two graduated from Howard Payne University before moving to Ft. Worth where Jerry attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Together he and Annette moved to Midlothian in 1973 where he became the Youth Minister at First Baptist Church (FBC) He then moved to McCalister, OK to become an Associate Pastor and then the Pastor of First Baptist Church of Okemah in 1977. In 1985, he was called back to Midlothian to start up Oak Crest Baptist Church, where he served faithfully until he retired in 2007. His passion, character and leadership was always admired by those who knew him and his faith; and it was his love of others which led so many to have a relationship with our Savior, Jesus Christ. After retiring, he continued his passion for serving the Lord as a Corporate Chaplain with Marketplace Ministries and a Crisis Chaplain with Disaster Relief of the Southern Baptist Convention. He returned to pastoral ministry as an Associate Pastor with Eastridge Baptist Church in Red Oak, TX where he and Annette attend. On the 9th day of June, 2018, Jerry went to be with Jesus in his Kingdom, where we know he is having many exciting reunions and we too look forward to our reunion with him one day. He was preceded in death by his father, James and son, Tony Sean Hall. Jerry is survived by his wife, Annette Hall, mother Sue Fears, sister Pat Truitt, children, Jeff Hall and wife, Mandy, Kristi Hall (McKenna) and husband, Mike, and grandchildren, Kamden McKenna and Adalyn and Charlotte Hall. In lieu of flower, the family requests donation be made to Eastridge Baptist Missionary Fund.
