Jacqueline Gilbert

Jackie Gilbert, of Bland County, Virginia, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Sacramento, California, on August 13, 1957, Jackie lived a life marked by love, kindness, and devotion to her family and friends.

Jackie was a loving and caring woman who cherished her family deeply. Her love extended not only to her husband and daughters, but also to her nieces, nephews, siblings, in-laws, and the many friends and loved ones whose lives she touched. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need and gave freely of her time, care, and compassion.

Her grandchildren held a particularly special place in her heart and brought tremendous joy to her life. She made certain they always knew how deeply she loved them, especially on special occasions when she was unable to be with them in person.

Jackie is survived by her beloved husband, Larry Gilbert; her two daughters, Lisa Greeson (husband, Tap; children, Katelyn, William, and Benji) and Laura Gilbert; and her two brothers, Richard “Dick” Rowley and James “Jimmy” Rowley. She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Rhonda McCabe and Janice Taylor.

Jackie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her family will forever cherish the love, guidance, laughter, and countless memories she gave them throughout her life. Though her passing leaves an immeasurable void, they find comfort in knowing that she is at peace and that the love she shared will continue to live on in the hearts of those she left behind.
