Estelle Wade Massey, loving wife, sweet mother and our Mamaw, passed away at age 98 on June 8th, 2016 at Buffalo Creek Assisted Living in Waxahachie. She was born on November 11, 1917 in Maypearl, Texas to parents Ernest and Jewell Wade. She was married 50 years to her husband, Leonard Massey, who preceded her in death in 1986. They had two daughters, Janice and Mavis. Estelle and Leonard owned Massey Grocery for 46 years and knew they had many dear friends in Midlothian. She will be remembered as the most loving person you could ever meet. Giving love to everyone she knew, she taught us all how to be better people and was the epitome of a Christian woman. She played the organ, loved the Lord and loved her visits from her church family, too. As a member of the first United Methodist church, Estelle was active for many years participating in events like The Lord's Acre Sale as well as serving on the cemetery association. She is survived by her daughter Janice Keen, son-in-law Dan Keen, son-in-law Clayton Jordan, sister Ernestine Cornwell, grandchildren Vickie Jordan Strong, Renee Schott, Stephanie Hudson and Shawn Keen, nine great-grand children and two great-great grand children and many nephews and cousins. Thanks to everyone who has been so kind, all the many friends at Buffalo Creek, hospice workers, loved ones and those who sat with her and helped comfort her. We have been blessed to have her in our lives for 98 wonderful years. We will miss her deeply and take comfort knowing she has gone home to heaven. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made the Family First Hospice or the First United Methodist Church of Midlothian.
