Ellen Caroline Beck (Mcwhorter)

Ellen C. Beck, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2024, at the age of 83. Born on August 30, 1941, in Estelline, Texas, Ellen was the daughter of N. C. McWhorter and Leona Anderson McWhorter.

On March 22, 1957, Ellen married LG Beck, and together they built a life filled with love and family. In her early years, Ellen was a devoted stay-at-home mom, raising her children with care and devotion. She later embarked on a short career of truck driving with her husband before finding her true calling as an apartment manager in Dallas, a role she held for 25 years until her retirement in 2012.

Ellen was a woman of faith and a member of the Baptist church. Her life was enriched by her family, and she found joy in the love and laughter of her three daughters, eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Ellen is survived by her daughters, Deborah Blansit, Donna Griffith, and Deanna Cannon (husband Chris); her grandchildren; her great-grandchildren; and her great-great-grandchild. Her legacy of love and family will continue to inspire all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her four sisters, her husband LG Beck, and her son-in-law Scott Griffith.

Ellen's family invites all who knew and loved her to celebrate her remarkable life and the memories she leaves behind. The family receive friends Saturday January 18 3:00-5:00 at Venus Civic Center, Venus Texas.
