Earl Jackson Jordan, age 79, was born on May 28, 1937 in Frankston, Texas to Jessie Lee Roper and James Elbert Jordan. He spent his early years in East Texas finishing school at Lancaster High School. He graduated from North Texas University (now University of North Texas) with a business degree. Earl served in the United States Army in the Transportation Corps prior to a brief time with the Texas and Pacific Railway, before starting his 34 year career with State Farm Insurance. Earl, a kind and light-hearted man, enjoyed the simplicities in life including golfing, trains, and his horse, Patches. Along with his wife Wanda, he loved and cherished their two children, Phil and Terrie, and their granddaughters Katie, Abbie, Jill, Carlie, and Molly. He dedicated his life to ardently following Christ and serving His children. Earl was an active member of Loaves and Fishes providing meals for the many people of Granbury, Texas. He taught many young couples to be responsible stewards of their finances by teaching Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace and instructing at Christian Women's Job Corps. Earl was joyfully welcomed home into his Heavenly Father's arms July 22, 2016 in Dallas, Texas. Although he will be missed and cherished by many, Earl fought the good fight of faith and is resting peacefully with the knowledge of a job well done as a good and faithful servant. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Jordan, children, Phil Jordan and wife, Brenda and Terrie Money and husband, Clay and grandchildren, Katie Money, Abbie Money, Jill Jordan, Carlie Money and Molly Jordan.
