Duane Almon Bailey

Duane Almon Bailey was born on July 20, 1928 in St. Paul, MN to Bert Bailey and Annabel McKinister Bailey from WS. He went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 29, 2018 showered in love and surrounded by his darling daughter Dana Bailey Foust, her wonderful husband, Robert Foust who he admired so much, their beautiful compassionate daughter, Heather Foust Putman and Heather's son, Wyatt Robert Putman. He went home peacefully with praise and worship music playing, his head and arm being rubbed, his hand held, and knowing he was loved, would be missed and we would all be okay. Duane graduated High School early and enlisted in the Navy and is a WWII Navy veteran. He retired from the U.S. Post Office where he drove a diesel driving around DFW picking up the mail from the airports. He loved to fellowship with his family and friends and loved to joke around. He enjoyed attending Daycare at Friend's Place Adult Daycare where he was well loved. He was a great man of God as he grew to know and love his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is real. He reminded us everyday multiple times that he loved us and wanted to be near us. Daddy you will be missed but not forgotten. You make me laugh when I think about all the things you did that no one else would even try. We will take care of each other and we will honor your memory always. God bless you and thank you for being a good good father. It takes a great man to admit his mistakes and make up for them. Duane was preceded in death by his mother and father, Bert and Annabel Bailey, his children's beautiful and loving mother, Frances Ruth Chapman Bailey, brother, Lee Bailey and wife Dottie Bailey, brother-in-law, Dan Powers, granddaughter, Arielle Diane Williams, son-in-law, Jerry Dale Davlin and many other family members. He is survived by his aunt, Doris McKinster Dressel, 102 years young, sister, Dorthy Bailey Powers, son, Duane Bailey, Jr and wife, Kristi, daughter Diane Bailey Williams and husband, Cory, daughter, Dana Bailey Foust and husband, Robert, Darcie Bailey Reynolds and husband, Wayne, son Devon Bailey and wife, Holly and many other step-children, grandchildren, step-grandchildren and other numerous relatives. Burial will be Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at DFW National Cemetery, Dallas, TX at 2:30 p.m.
