Don Edwin Wadsworth

Don Edwin Wadsworth, better known as Donnie, Dad or Grandad, took his last at bat March 23, 2016 at the age of 80 years young. Donnie was born November 29, 1935 to M. Loyd and Ruthie Audrey Wadsworth, in Ellis County, somewhere between Maypearl and Midlothian. He was a proud 1953 graduate of Midlothian High School. In 1959, Donnie married Katherine Dellinger and they spent over 56 wonderful years together. For 30 years, he worked for Oilwell Division of U.S. Steel, retiring in 1986. Other occupations filled his time until he found his calling as a greeter at Walmart. Donnie never met a stranger and loved that time catching up with friends and family. But his true joy was his family. He and Kathy traveled many miles to watch football, baseball, softball, basketball, volleyball and soccer. And LOVED every minute of it!
