Charles Ray Bryant

The parents of Charles Ray Bryant are Martha Jo Ann Anderson Bryant and George Clayton Bryant. Married June 9, 1955 in Cedar Hill, TX Clayton was stationed at Fort Eustis army base in Virginia. Ray was born February 20, 1957 in an army hospital then later moved to Grand Prairie, TX. Ray started school in Dallas, TX and moved to Duncanville in 1961. In high school Ray met Melinda Jane Beasley, fell in love and married Melinda on November 6, 1974. They survived by Ray working in a Pizza Inn and Melinda in a Ben Franklin store. Ray and Melinda bought their 1st home in Cedar Hill, TX. Ray and Melinda were blessed with two daughters, Amanda Michele and Christi Diane. Later Ray worked as mechanic for Dallas county until his best friend, Jerry Fisher, sold him on becoming an over the road driver for FedEx Freight. In 2000 Ray and Melinda moved to Midlothian. Ray and Melinda were blessed with 5 grandchildren between the years 1999-2006. In 2010 they moved to Maypearl, TX. In 2018 Ray became a great-grandpa. Ray enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, showing cattle, going to car shows and working on his cars. On March 8, 2016 Melinda passed away. No one knew God would call Ray home, making Tuesday, November 27, 2018 his last run. Ray is survived by his parents, Ray and JoAnn, brother, Eddie Bryant, daughters, Amanda Whitney and Christi Ivers and husband, James, grandchildren Carrie Horton and husband, Tanir, Chloe Deason, Jared and Hope Ivers, Cobe Whitney and great-grandchild, Cash Horton.
