Barbara Louise Holley

Barbara Holley passed away June 2rd, 2020 peacefully at home surrounded by family. She was born to Bennie and May Waller on July 7, 1927 in San Diego, CA. She was the third of five children. When she was 12 years old her mother passed away from cancer and she was placed in Buckner Children's Home where she remained until she married Billy Holley in 1945. Billy soon joined the Navy and they traveled for several years. Around 1980 she started helping with the 2 and 3 year old's Sunday School Class at FBC Midlothian. That became one of the biggest highlight of her life. She had a tremendous love for people but especially for children. As she gave so much in life she also did in death. She donated her body to UT Southwestern. As per her wishes in lieu of flowers the family requests donations to UT Southwestern, St Jude's Children's Hospital, Shriner's Hospital for Children, or FBC Midlothian. She is preceded in death by her sons Don and Dennis Holley and her husband Billy. She is survived by her children Darla Holley Gerard (Robert) and Dale Holley, her 5 grandchildren, Gary Don (Leann), Shawn Gerard, Jason Gerard, Rayna Holley, Christopher Holley (Emily), 3 step grandchildren Tony Freudiger (Kellie), Brandie Freudiger, Julie Bunn (Jesse) (their mother Bobbi) and Dylan Hogg (Gabby) who she considered her grandson as well, 7 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter.
