Anne Therese Schroeder (Pithey)

–

Midlothian, Texas

Anne Therese Pithey Schroeder, aged 82, of Waxahachie, Texas, departed from our lives on October 25, 2023, after a brief illness. She was surrounded by the love of her friends and family during her final moments.

Anne was born on October 5, 1941, and her journey through life took her from small towns in Minnesota and North Dakota to her final resting place in Waxahachie. It was during her youth that she encountered the love of her life, Charles, at a Young Republicans Meeting at Valley City University. Their connection was so profound that they chose to walk life's path together, marrying on December 31, 1962, in San Diego, California. The couple later relocated to Dallas, Texas, where Charles pursued his graduate studies.

Anne was a dedicated professional, contributing her talents to various careers throughout her life. She spent many years working in the real estate industry in Lancaster, Texas. However, her true calling emerged when she embarked on a 24-year career in the admissions office at Cedar Valley College. In this role, she had the privilege of helping countless students take their first steps on their educational journeys, a legacy that will be cherished by all whose lives she touched.

Anne had many passions in life, and she approached each one with dedication and enthusiasm. She was an avid reader, a skilled crocheter, and a creative crafter. Family reunions were an opportunity for her to reconnect and strengthen bonds with her loved ones. Her ability to put together fabulous dinner parties left an indelible mark on the memories of those fortunate enough to attend.

Anne was preceded in death by her parents, F.J. and Agnes Pithey, her sister, Alice Schraeder, and her two brothers, Fred and Austin Pithey. She also joins her beloved husband, Charles, in eternal rest. Anne is survived by her sister, Aileen Twitchell, her daughter, Patricia (Schroeder), and her husband, Charles Harris, her son, Jerome Schroeder, and his wife, Chriselda (Pena), and her special friend of 10 years, Cecil Wilkins.

Her memory lives on through her loving grandchildren: Preston Harris and his wife Rylee (Werchan), Cassidy (Harris) and her husband Kameron Raburn, Parker Schroeder, Patrick Harris, Siarra Harris, Aaron Schroeder, and Ethan Schroeder. Her great-grandchildren, Shaelee Harris, Presley Raburn, Charley Kate Raburn, and Oliver Harris, are a testament to her enduring legacy.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Anne Therese Pithey will be held at the Midlothian Funeral Home on November 4, 2023, at 11 o'clock in the morning. Anne will be remembered for her enduring love, unwavering support, and the joy she brought to the lives of all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
