Alayah Elaine Cortes

–

Red Oak, Texas

Our beloved Princess, Alayah Elaine Cortes, was born on December 17, 2019, to proud parents Nancy Klander and Adan Cortes. From the moment she entered this world, she showed us what it meant to be a fighter. For five beautiful years, Alayah fought valiantly, teaching us all about courage and love.

On Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 3:54 PM, our sweet Princess Alayah joined her King at his throne, surrounded by those who love her dearly.

Alayah is survived by her devoted parents, Adan Cortes and Nancy Klander, and her steadfast big brother, Jace. She is cherished by her grandparents: Leonel and Sonia Cortes, Nick and Stephanie Glazener, and Jason and Stacy Klander, along with numerous great-grandparents, one Great-Great-Grandfather, a multitude of aunts, uncles, and cousins who adore her.

She was greeted with open arms by many family members who have preceded her in death, embracing her in love and warmth.

Though our strong-willed angel has departed from this life, we find solace in knowing she is now at peace, free from the struggles of her illness. Her spirit will forever resonate in our hearts, reminding us of her incredible strength and the joy she brought into our lives.

To Celebrate Alayah's life, friends and family are encouraged to gather for a time of visitation on Sunday, March 16, 2025 from 2 to 6 in the evening at Midlothian Funeral Home. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, March 17, 2025 at 11 in the morning at God's House in Lone Elm, 150 Lone Elm Rd, Waxahachie, Tx. Burial will follow at Gateway Memorial Park in Waxahachie, Tx.

In memory of Alayah, we encourage everyone to cherish their loved ones and hold them close, as she so beautifully reminded us all to do.
