Randolph R. "Randy" Carlisle Obituary (1929

Randolph R Carlisle, age 86, born on October 5, 1929 in Dallas, Texas. He was one of nine children born to the late John Byron & Maude Alma Flatt Carlisle. Randy passed away June 5, 2016 in Waxahachie, Texas. He grew up in Dallas and Venus Texas and graduated from high school in 1948 from Venus High School. He began a career with Mobil Oil Corporation in Dallas in 1948. During 1950 through 1954 he served the United States Air Force stationed in Alaska. After leaving the service he returned to his job in accounting at Mobil and remained until his retirement in 1990. Randy worked with the Boy Scouts of America for many years earning The Order of the Arrow. He was also a member for over 50 years of the Venus Masonic Lodge holding the office of Secretary for over 15 years. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing regularly and excelled at it! In 1973 he married Bess Waters and they resided in Midlothian the last 43 years. He is survived by his wife, Bess Waters Carlisle, brothers, Charles "Charlie" Carlisle, David Carlisle and Walter Carlisle, numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews Memorials may be made to the Venus Cemetery Association or the Venus Masonic Lodge #804
